Do you have a dental emergency? Then it is important that you get the right help quickly. Below you can read what you can do and when it concerns acute emergency or complaints that can usually wait a few days.

Emergency during opening hours

Do you have urgent complaints during our opening hours? Please contact our practice by telephone via:

When is there an acute emergency?

In the case of the complaints below, it is important to contact us immediately:

  • An accident in which teeth have fallen out, broken off or become dislodged
    (in the case of a knocked-out tooth, quick help is important, preferably within 60 minutes)
  • A secondary haemorrhage after a tooth extraction
  • Swelling of the cheek in combination with fever or difficulty swallowing
  • Acute, severe pain that cannot be suppressed

The dentist always assesses whether there is an emergency and what care is needed.

When is it usually not a direct emergency?

The complaints below are annoying, but in many cases can wait one to several days:

  • Pain that can be suppressed with painkillers
  • Inflamed or painful gums
  • Pain in the temporomandibular joint
  • A lost crown or filling
  • A filling that is too high
  • Sharp edges on teeth
  • A protruding wire from a brace or splint
